IWC Charities Board meets once per month to discuss any issues that may have arisen over that month, receive and distribute funds. The IWC Charities Board also decides about the Charity Projects that will be supported and approves them by voting.

Each member of the IWC Charities Board has an assigned role. Some roles are administrative (Treasury Officer, Administration Officer, PR & Communication Officer) while some roles are linked directly to the charity projects (Project Lead Coordinators).

Our Project Coordinators and their assistants are in close contact with specified charities. They regularly visit the projects to distribute funds, collect receipts and report the project status. We also have volunteers who actively help at the projects and therefore are very important part of the IWC Charities Group.

Charity Co-chair at the IWC Moscow

Currently, I’m the Lead coordinator for the Children in Medical Care projects. I look after  Speransky's Children hospital's Kids Burnt Unit and Operational Hope. In this group of projects we help kids with  thermal plastic, special creme for skin healing and summer camp for burnt children, as well as pre-surgery test for kids with epilepsy.

One of the main meanings of life for me is to help people and make whomever I meet happy. Maybe because of this I enjoy Charity work. I originally come from Azerbaijan, I am a mother. Professionally I used to work as a Chief Financial Officer of a Group of Companies and Audit Manager. And now and ever I am just a human being. You can contact her at: iwccharities@gmail.com

Zuzana helps at the IWC Charity Projects

This charitable activity enables me to meet amazing people who try to do their best to help someone else. In contrary I also meet people in need who really need our help. These experiences open my eyes in many aspects and get me closer to the life in Russia.

I love moments when I participate in regular Sunday lunch in community center together with 30 foreign students, eat meal prepared by some of these students and know that these lunches can be realized due to IWC support. Or watch children - who have mastered the severe illness - in archery that could be bought thanks to IWC support. Or listen to the stories of children from orphanages which received higher education due to mentors financially supported by IWC. There are many other examples that enrich our work and make it useful. You can contact me at iwccharity.cif@gmail.com

Project coordinator for the Elderly and Destitutes projects of IWC Moscow

I’m one of the Project coordinator for the Elderly and Destitutes projects. I work with MPC, St. Egidio and the Italian nuns. In this group of project we help pensioners, homeless, low income families, refugees, immigrants, invalids.

When I joined the IWC I discovered also their work in charities. Immediately, I thought that it would be interesting for me to join this group.

When you move to a foreign Country, at the beginning your main aim is to take care of your family. Then, you also need to find a new purpose for your own life.

Make yourself useful for others, for those who need help because they have nothing, can give a new meaning to your life. You do not feel just a “tourist” but really part of the society in which you live. You can contact me at iwccharity.ead@gmail.com
