Embassy Dinner: As the Embassies of the World Dinner and Ball is a fundraiser for IWC Charities, the Embassy Dinners are hosted on a volunteer basis with all food and beverage provided by the hosting country. Traditionally the dinner events are anywhere from an intimate table of 6 up to several round tables that may accommodate up to 30 guests. For example one year, the Embassy of Poland hosted a table of 24, as the Ambassador's wife was the IWC President and she wanted to have a large function. Typically, the guests at the Embassies vary from 12 to 20, including the hosts. Embassy Dinners are scheduled from 7pm until 9:30pm. It may change as per the request of the hosting Embassies.
In the evening, the hosting Ambassador and spouse (if he/she is accompanied) welcome guests to their Residence or their Embassy. After getting acquainted, usually over an aperitif, a seated formal dinner is served. The attire for the evening is the formal Black Tie and Long Evening Gown, thus the occasion tends towards a more elegant affair. Traditionally, the meal and beverage selections are chosen to highlight the specialties of the host country.
Gala Ball: The Ball is scheduled usually from 9pm until 2am at the hotel. These timings might change upon the type of the venue and the law enforcing the event timings. The evening will be highlighted with Live Entertainment, Dancing, Cocktails, Wine, Champagne, and Canapes to be nibbled into the night. In addition, our guests will participate in a Complimentary Raffle, receive a Keepsake Photograph from the Evening and a Special Gift Bag of items generously donated by our wonderful sponsors.
